I should have made one of my goals for the year to keep up with this blog. Whoops!
Well, I just finished reading All Quiet on the Western Front. It was a terrific book filled with both beautiful and terrifying imagery. It’s truly an unsparing account of war, detailing the harsh realities of life on the battlefield.
I recently watched 12 Angry Men. I’m generally not a big fan of older movies (I really don’t know why!), but this one was actually very good. It’s the kind of movie where not much really happens, but it’s all about the developing story and its conclusion. I think I might venture to call it an exciting film, or at least an exciting plot.
Three of my friends and I have planned a trip to Vegas in July, and I am beyond excited. Not only will I be traveling to a new place, but I’ll get to go on a plane. The last (and only) time I was on a plane, I was one year old. Needless to say, I don’t remember it. The thought of flying is so thrilling to me, as is Vegas. I cannot wait for this trip!
I recently took a course to get certified as a personal trainer, and I passed the exam, so now I’m one step closer to that. I have to complete an internship and also get certified in CPR/AED before they can issue me the certification, but I’m still looking forward to the idea of something new in my life. I know being a personal trainer could be an incredibly rewarding experience.
Also, I tried Greek food this weekend. I think I’ve had it in its generic varieties at some point, but this was authentic Greek and it was delicious. I had a chicken gyro. Yum.
Finally, I got an iPhone on Sunday. Granted, this has nothing to do with my goals, but I’m still super psyched about it. I’ve been wanting an iPhone for a while, but I’d also been wanting to switch to Verizon (sorry, T-Mobile, after 5+ years, I’ve had enough of you and your spotty service). When Verizon announced the iPhone, my mind was made up. Eventually I just couldn’t take my current phone any longer and decided it was time. I’ve never been so satisfied with a phone!
Will post again soon. Promise. Okay, maybe. Take care, all!
